1. Electrodes should be orderly packed in warehouse during storage, the pile height should not exceed two layers. Keep from rain, moisture and collision during storage.
2. For electrodes and nipples won’t be used contemporarily, the package shouldn’t be removed, so dusts and impurities won’t fall on the threads or electrode hole.
3. during connecting electrodes, to ensure operation safety, it is suggested to shut down the power.
4. Electrodes should be used vertically, tilted operation should be avoided. The upper and lower clampers should keep concentric, electrode sleeve should be vertical, lifting and descending hydraulic press system should keep synchronized operation( the central line offset of electrode mast should not exceed 5mm).
5. Alarm line is set at electrode body, clamp holder should be set outside alarm line of the electrode top, it can’t clamp in the alarm line or the middle of the electrode, or the electrode is easy to break.
6. The electrodes should be frequently dropped with small amplitude, for every drop, the length should not exceed 100mm.
7. The ineffective working end length of the electrode should be kept between 100~200mm, so it can prevent electrode from contacting with air and being oxidized at high temperature.
8. When charging material during normal production, the materials should be evenly stirred.
9. homogeneous hot dry material should be piled to the surrounding of every electrode, and embed the electrode as much as possible, when wet material is added, it should keep far away from the electrodes.
10. During stoking the furnace, stoking machine should not collide with electrodes, in case the damage of electrodes..
11. As the raw materials and the production processes of every electrode factory is different, the physiochemical indexes of electrodes from different factories have some difference, so it is not suggested to connect electrodes produced by different manufacturers.
